What you'll be doing

Work with advanced imaging technology, contribute to diagnostic excellence, and grow your expertise in breast imaging—a specialised and highly rewarding area of radiography.
As a Radiographer, you will perform high quality mammographic examinations to patients/ clients of BCI and BreastScreen Sydney West in accordance with established radiographic practices and patient/client safety, to ensure early detection of changes which may require medical management and promote positive health and wellbeing outcomes. Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with all patients, carers and other health care team members to deliver high quality patient focused care outcomes. You will deliver expert clinical services in breast imaging, ensuring high standards of care and accuracy across diagnostic and screening procedures. Key responsibilities will be to:
* Perform mammography and quality assurance in line with national standards
* Ensure accurate patient data entry and image identification using RIS/PACS/BIS
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to deliver seamless care
* Maintain compliance with safety, ethical, and professional guidelines
* Support service goals through high-volume imaging and flexible site coverage

Essential Criteria:
* Qualification: Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science – Diagnostic Radiography or equivalent
* Registration: Registered with Australian Health Practitioner Registration Agency (AHPRA).
* License: NSW EPA Radiation Licence IA14
Selection Criteria:
* High level customer service skills and Effective interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients
* Excellent time management and organisation skills with attention to detail and Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
* Highly developed communication with working in a multidisciplinary team and other health professionals
* Demonstrated skill in the analysis of complex issues and problem solving, Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
* Experience in mammography with knowledge of quality assurance would be desirable. Maintaining high quality imaging, performing over 50% of Perfect and Good imaging, keep below the Repeat Rate (2%) and Technical Recall Rate of all imaging.
* Ability to assist in training others (give orientation and be able to supervise when required)
* Working towards completing Certificate of Clinical Proficiency in Mammography certificate or willing to obtain within 12 months of starting
