 
        
        Health & Safety Project Officer - NSW Government 
A Health & Safety Project Officer is required by a NSW Government department based in Macquarie Park on an initial 6-month contract with likely extensions. 
Location: Macquarie Park + WFH (hybrid): 
Hours: Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week: 
Pay Rate: Up to $500 per day + Super: 
Contract Length: 6 months with likely extensions 
Primary Purpose of the Role: 
As the Health & Safety Officer, you will coordinate the organisation's health & safety systems which help identify hazards, risks to health & safety, monitor appropriate safety controls & provide information about prevention & occupational health to management & employees. 
Key Accountabilities: 
Collaborate with stakeholders department-wide to provide consistency & improvement in reporting processes 
Identify opportunities to streamline WHS reporting & improve better ways of working 
Actively participate in triage processes to improve data integrity 
Investigate current data sources & business processes to enable desired business outcomes & solutions 
About You: 
Relevant tertiary qualifications & demonstrated experience in Work Health & Safety 
Knowledge of Australian WHS Legislation & Codes of Practice 
Outstanding communication & stakeholder engagement skills
