Overview
Our Cafe Kitchen is open 5 days a week for breakfast, lunch and light snacks in the morning. Weekends we offer coffee and snacks only. As part of a community centre with gym, pool and venue hire, our focus is on healthy, wholesome food that caters to a wide demographic.
We are looking for a Part time Short Order Cook (Mon to Fri) to manage our Cafe team 25 - 30 hrs per week. We\'d love to hear from you if you have experience managing a busy cafe.
The position would suit a person who is looking to challenge themselves and have previous experience in a breakfast, lunch operation and small functions.
Role to commence as soon as possible.
Business operating hours
Monday - Friday 7am-2pm
Saturday 7.30am-11am
Sunday 7.30am-12pm
Closed Public Holidays
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
- Ensure all food is cooked to the highest quality and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen workplace.
- Menu planning and development.
- Monitor inventory and order supplies as needed.
- Lead and manage front of house and kitchen team. Recruit and train team members in conjunction with the Operations Manager
- Manage emails and weekly rosters
- Update and manage the POS system
