Overview
Teacher of Technical and Applied Studies (TAS) role at Catholic Education, Diocese of Wagga Wagga. Marian Catholic College is an expansive co-educational 7-12 secondary school with around 700 students, located in Griffith, NSW. The college has facilities including a Technological and Applied Studies Centre (TAS) and new staff and administration facilities.
Responsibilities
* As a Classroom Teacher, inspire young minds, foster a positive learning environment, and develop engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
* Provide individual attention to students, address diverse needs, and collaborate with colleagues to enhance educational outcomes.
* Build strong relationships with parents and guardians to support student success and impact their lives positively.
Qualifications
* An understanding of and commitment to the mission and purpose of Catholic Education.
* Professional qualifications in teaching and learning and accreditation with NESA.
* Ability to develop and implement flexible and innovative programs to support learning.
* Qualifications and/or experience in the teaching of Applied Technologies (e.g., Food Technologies, Timber or Metal, Design and Technologies, Engineering, Textiles or similar).
* Ability to foster positive professional relationships with students and improve learning outcomes.
* Ability to work as part of a cohesive team and contribute to staff professional culture.
* Effective communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.
* Understanding of NESA and Diocesan policies and school procedures.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and document effectively on school and system platforms.
* Current Working with Children Check and NESA Accreditation; Accreditation for Teachers in a Catholic School (Category B) or working towards Accreditation.
