Your new company is a leading expert in managing and Facilitating recycling operations for the Container Deposit Schemes across Australia. Our client is seeking an experienced and skilled Depot Manager to join a dynamic team, responsible for the smooth operation of the depot.
Your new role
Your new role will see you working as a permanent Depot Manager responsible for managing a small team, delivering outstanding customer service by helping customers sort out their recyclable products and ensuring they receive the correct refund. The depot is open 7 days a week. For this role, the roster is Sunday-Thursday, working 38 hours. The key responsibilities include:
* Leading a small team of between 5-10 to provide exceptional customer service
* Rostering of casual team members
* Sorting recyclable items into their appropriate categories
* Cash handling and maintaining accurate records
* Ensuring all staff adhere to Health and Safety procedures and identify any hazards, faults or risks
* Ensuring staff have all necessary skills and training to work safely and efficiently
* All aspects of depot work, including cleaning, forklift operations, manual handling, customer service, payroll, staff management and end-of-day balancing books
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need previous experience in leading a small team, along with a background in customer service, heavy industry, hospitality, or retail.
* Strong leadership and management skills
* Proficient in Excel and Outlook
* Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
* Strong communication skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
* Hold a current Driver's Licence
* Possess a great 'can-do' attitude, with customer service being at the forefront of all your interactions.
* Holding a current forklift ticket is also desirable.
What you'll get in return
In return, our client can offer you a permanent full-time position. The depot is open 7 days a week, 8am-5pm. Within this timeframe, you will work a 5-day roster from Sunday to Thursday. The salary for the Manager position is $73,500 + Superannuation + Bonus'.
