About the Role
The Environmental Operations department is responsible for managing and preserving Council's environmental assets, collaborating with the community to achieve shared goals.
You will support and facilitate environmental work on private land through various programs, providing professional advice to officers, Councillors, and the community.
* Must have a thorough understanding of the Sunshine Coast region's ecology, including flora and fauna identification skills.
* Able to manage projects and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to deliver successful outcomes.
* Provide sound environmental advice and recommendations to internal and external customers.
About You
You will require a tertiary degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent experience and possess strong communication and project management skills.
Negotiation skills are essential to secure on-ground outcomes with private landholders, requiring a good understanding of threatening processes impacting biodiversity values.
