Your new role
As Executive Assistant to the Deputy Vice‐Chancellor Indigenous (DVCI), you will provide trusted, high‐level executive and administrative support within a purpose‐driven environment. Working closely with the Deputy Vice‐Chancellor Indigenous and alongside the Executive Officer, you will help ensure the smooth operation of the Office while supporting strategic priorities, key relationships and initiatives that make a real impact across Curtin.
This position is suited to someone who is organised, adaptable and proactive, with strong cultural capability, sound judgement and the ability to build respectful relationships with people from all walks of life. Key Responsibilities
* Manage complex calendars, appointments and commitments to support the Deputy Vice‐Chancellor Indigenous in maximising strategic priorities and time.
* Provide confidential, high‐level executive and administrative support in a professional and culturally responsive manner.
* Coordinate meetings, travel, events and engagement activities, including welcoming visitors, guests and community stakeholders to the Office.
* Prepare and coordinate correspondence, reports, presentations, briefing papers and other executive documentation.
* Monitor and prioritise incoming communications, ensuring urgent matters are identified and addressed appropriately.
* Liaise with a broad range of stakeholders including senior leaders, community representatives, government and industry partners, and external organisations.
* Support meetings and committees through agenda preparation, minute‐taking and follow‐up actions.
* Handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism, care and discretion.

SELECTION CRITERIA
* Relevant qualifications and/or significant experience providing high‐level executive or administrative support.
* Proven ability to coordinate and manage a complex array of commitments using an electronic diary system.
* Demonstrated organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, meet deadlines and maintain attention to detail.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage respectfully and effectively with diverse stakeholders in cross‐cultural settings.
* High levels of professionalism, discretion and integrity when handling confidential matters.
* Sound judgement, initiative and the ability to anticipate needs and solve problems proactively.
* Demonstrated experience in recognising and dealing sensitively and constructively with situations using appropriate negotiation skills and influencing styles to achieve positive outcomes.
Desirable
* Previous experience working within higher education or a complex organisation.
* Experience working collaboratively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, communities, and organisations, including the ability to build respectful relationships.

This full‐time position attracts a remuneration package of $96,323 – $102,186 (G06) + 17% Super.
