 
        
        The role of an Education Officer in High Potential and Gifted Education is pivotal within the Improvement Learning and Wellbeing service area, as part of the K-12 team.
Key Responsibilities:
 * Foster a culture of shared responsibility for growth in student learning through collaborative practices that transform teaching and learning.
 * Lead professional learning to build teacher capacity in pedagogy in one or more secondary Key Learning Areas (KLAs).
 * Drive student learning outcomes through data-driven evidence-informed practice.
 * Support Curriculum Leaders in driving school improvement initiatives aligned with the system's Strategic Direction.
 * Implement innovative educational programs to support high potential and gifted students.
Qualifications:
 * Postgraduate study in a relevant field.
 * Accreditation according to the 'Accreditation to Work, Teach and Lead in Systemic Schools' policy.
 * Teacher Accreditation from the NSW Education Standards Authority.
Additional Information:
This role requires collaboration with teachers across Year 7-12 and working with the Wellbeing and Student Support Team to enrich opportunities for gifted students. The successful applicant will also contribute to the mission of Catholic Education in the Diocese of Wollongong and promote the strategic direction document Lighting the Way through the Continuous Catholic School Improvement Framework.
