As a Nursing Unit Manager your responsibilities will include:
o Providing operational direction for the unit to ensure efficient and effective management
o Coordinating the delivery of nursing care that is evidence based
o Ensuring the delivery of excellent patient and family centred care in a team focused environment
o Providing guidance, mentoring and support to your team
o Being accountable for the effective management of human, financial and material resources
o Undertaking direct patient care, as required
o Ensuring compliance with ACQSHC National standards
o Current Registration with AHPRA
o Registered Nurse with at least 5 years’ experience
o Demonstrated management experience
o Proven experience in building and leading high performing teams with a service excellence approach
o Demonstrated ability to foster positive working relations with a wide range of diverse stakeholders
o Demonstrate a good knowledge base in labour management
o Understand the requirements of private health funding
o Demonstrable excellence in written and verbal communication skills including advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
o A commitment to a high standard of clinical and customer focused care
o High degree of computer literacy including MS office and various data bases
o Ability to work cohesively within a team environment
o Tertiary post graduate qualifications in a relevant Nursing specialty
o Experience in Day Oncology or willing to learn and be part of the team
o A demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety legislation.
o A demonstrated understanding and implementation of quality improvement, change management, models of care, evidence based practice and practise development.

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the "Healthscope - NSWNMA / AMNF - Nurses and Midwives Agreement – NUM classification starting from $62.46 to $67.18 per hour.
