About the role
We are seeking a talented DTC Sales & Communications Professional to join our team for a 12-month maternity leave contract. Based at our Longwood office in the Adelaide Hills, this role will be responsible for designing and executing our direct-to-consumer (DTC) sales and marketing strategy to drive growth and engagement with our customers.
This is more than just a wine sales role. We have a clear focus on quality, standards and reputation, and in this role you will be a brand ambassador, promoting and planning events, collaborating with other partners and executing strategic marketing plans to promote growth of our DTC sales channel; including our successful, high growth wine club.
What you'll be doing
* Developing and implementing the winery's DTC sales and marketing campaigns across email, social media and other digital channels
* Managing the e-commerce platform and online customer experience (we use Mailchimp, Commerce7, Elementor and Canva)
* Analysing customer data and insights to inform marketing and sales strategies
* Collaborating with the wider team to create engaging content and assets
* Oversee tasting room operations, ensuring a premium customer experience (plus FOH back up for week days and ad-hoc weekend shifts)
* Working with the functions coordinator to promote bespoke private and corporate events
* Representation at industry consumer events and seeking opportunities to increase awareness of the wine club with partners and businesses
* Assisting with other marketing and administrative tasks relating to the tasting room as required.
What we're looking for
* Minimum three years of experience in a similar DTC sales and marketing role, ideally within the wine or hospitality industry
* Strong understanding of digital marketing, social and e-commerce platforms and best practice
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to engage customers
* Highly organised with the ability to prioritise tasks and work independently
* A passion for the wine industry and delivering premium customer experiences.
* RSA and full Australian working rights. WSET certification favourable.
