YMCA SA's Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) services provide safe, supportive and engaging environments for children aged 5–12 before and after school and during school holidays. Our programs are designed to support children's social, emotional and physical development through inclusive play-based learning and structured activities. We're looking for enthusiastic, energetic and proactive individuals who are passionate about working with children and keen to actively engage with them in meaningful ways.
Key responsibilities
* Deliver safe, engaging and developmentally appropriate programs for children aged 5–12
* Support children's social, emotional and physical wellbeing through inclusive and fun activities
* Create a welcoming environment that builds trust with children, families and schools
* Actively supervise and support children, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times
* Collaborate with your team and service director to plan, evaluate and improve programs
* Maintain accurate records and uphold regulatory, safety and safeguarding standard
Requirements for the Y
* First Qualified Educator qualification — Diploma‐level qualification or higher, or completion of two years of a four‐year teaching degree (essential)
* National Police Check (issued in the last 6 months)
* DHS Working With Children Check
* International Criminal History Record Check (if worked/lived overseas in the last 5 years)
* Certificate of completion for "Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care" Masterclass Training
* HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in Education and Care
* HLTAID009 CPR
* Sound knowledge of OSHC Quality Assurance and recognized School Age Care Framework
