OverviewWe are seeking to establish a pool of Cleaners for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2025 school year and up to the end of Term 3, 2026.
Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.Riverside Primary School (PS) is a Level 5 school with approximately 450 students enrolled in Kindergarten to Year 6.

Both of these factors create their own set of challenges to work through at the school.Find out more about our school by visiting Riverside Primary School or Schools Online.Role and ResponsibilitiesThe Cleaner, under the general supervision of the Cleaner in Charge, is responsible for a range of internal and external cleaning duties.Maintain carpets and hard floor surfaces; clean toilets, furniture, fittings, and windows; dusting and rubbish removal.Vacation cleaning duties include stripping and sealing vinyl floors, shampooing carpets, and pressure cleaning verandas.Report faults, maintenance issues, and incidents to the designated supervisor; ensure schools are cleaned and maintained in compliance with Department and occupational safety standards.Eligibility and RequirementsTo Work With Us, You Will Need To obtain a valid Working With Children Check, consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.Additional eligibility and training requirements are outlined in the attached Job Description Form (JDF).
