Amity Care and Support Services is looking for a Speech Therapist to join our incredible team to support an autistic child to make a meaningful impact in the world of ASD support.

The job description includes:
* Conduct assessments: Assessing the functional impact of disability on positioning.
* Provide interventions: Offering interventions and planning to increase participants' communication and independence.
* Training and education: Developing training packages and training for participants, carers, support workers, and other communication partners.
* Health and wellness: Promoting health and wellness solutions and supporting optimal mental and physical outcomes for participants.
* Coordination of care: Liaising with participants, families, referrers, doctors, employers, and other allied health professions to achieve coordinated outcomes.
* Professional development: Maintaining professional development through access to current literature, education programs, supervision programs, and special interest groups.
* Direct client activities: Conducting home and community visits to participants and providing therapy and progress reports.
* Reporting outcomes: Reporting outcomes and recommendations in a timely manner.
These responsibilities are crucial for ensuring that participants with disabilities receive the best possible support and services under the NDIS framework.

What you will bring to the role
* Tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current registration with Speech Pathology Australia as a Certified Practicing Speech Pathologist.
* A current driver's licence, Working With Children (WWC) Check, NDIS Workers Screening check, First Aid certification and proof of eligibility to work in Australia.
* First Aid certification must be current and valid before commencing employment.
* Ability to assess, plan, implement and deliver person-centred evidence-informed services in a range of practice areas and different settings.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, families, their therapy team and support networks.
