We are seeking a seasoned Team Leader to drive the success of our HR operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will oversee the delivery of both operational and advisory HR services within a public sector setting. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of staffing movements, payroll, and leave processes in partnership with a shared services provider.
The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience leading HR operations within a government or shared services environment. They will possess a solid understanding of Queensland public sector directives, policies, and industrial frameworks. Additionally, they will have proven capability in managing high-volume HR processes while maintaining service excellence.
The successful candidate will be proficient in HRIS (Aurion highly regarded) and Excel for data and reporting. They will also have strong communication skills and be able to collaborate with senior HR leaders on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

* Lead and support HR advisory team delivering day-to-day operational services
* Oversee end-to-end payroll, leave, and staffing processes, ensuring compliance and accuracy
* Maintain strong quality control processes to uphold data integrity across systems
* Advise employees and managers on entitlements, HR policies, and industrial relations
* Prepare and analyze HR reports using Aurion and Excel to support strategic decisions
* Identify and implement improvements across systems and processes, with a focus on efficiency and automation
* Draft high-quality written documents, including policies, submissions, reports, and procedures
