**About the Early Childhood Outcomes Division**
The Early Childhood Outcomes Division leads the delivery of the Early Childhood Education program, including comprehensive investments in the critical first 5 years of life for every child - in child development and in early education and care, making investments that support families and the community now, as well as investing in long term reforms for the future. Key initiatives will include supporting families with young children to access the services they need to support their own prosperity and wellbeing; valuing and growing the early childhood education and care sector and investing in early childhood teachers and educators.
**About the role**
The Universal Pre-Kindergarten Design and Delivery teams are focused on designing and delivering a new universal pre-Kindergarten year in the year before primary school, for every child by the end of the decade. These teams are made up of practitioners, service designers, project managers and policy makers who are putting the needs of families, children and the sector at the centre of the design and delivery of new universal pre-Kindergarten year. We want to ensure all children, families and communities in NSW experience the pre-Kindergarten year as a shared, life-changing start to their education journey.

**About the role**:
This role will coordinate and undertake policy and project development, providing analysis, advice and contributing to the development of a range of projects to support the design and development of complex policy initiatives and reforms that support organisational objectives and Governments commitments.
**Your duti**es will include but are not limited to**:
- Undertake research and analysis, reviewing alternatives in relation to policy deliverables, to contribute to the policy process and to inform decision making
- Provide a range of project management and support services, including preparation of discussion papers, briefs and submissions, to contribute to the development and delivery of policy through the establishment of and maintenance of reporting products to support ECO Divisions using BI Reporting tools and dashboard to support Stream leads, including highlighting milestone delivery, risks, issues and dependencies
- Prepare and review policy advice to ensure alignment with policy directions
- Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committee meetings, and stakeholder consultations by supporting ECO Governance and reporting.
- Undertake research and collate information for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to contribute to the achievement of policy outcomes
- Working with, and influencing relevant stream leads, to ensure papers are of a high quality, received in a timely manner and further the outcomes of the program.
- Working within a reform environment, with a focus on guiding and advising staff across the Division
- Reporting experience using BI/data analytics, experience & understanding of Finance, intermediate/advance excel
- Experience in project or program management
- Advanced interpersonal skills including a proven ability to motivate, influence, persuade and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare program plans, reports, briefings and presentations on projects to a variety of audiences.
- Experience in managing complex and sensitive issues
- Experience working in a large or complex organisation
**Essential requirements of the role**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline, or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and/or experience
- A valid Working with Children Check for paid employment
- Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the **value** of public education
**Key knowledge and experience**
- Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
