•Salary: Base salary from $135,406 - $145,644 (Nurse Unit Manager Grade 1 - 3 level) as per the Enterprise Agreement, plus, access to Salary sacrifices options and salary packaging benefits with Maxxia (including venue hire, meals, entertainment and novated leasing) so you have great potential to maximise your take home pay.

The Role
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Nurse Unit Manager (Oncology) to lead and manage the Oncology Day Unit at Macquarie University Hospital.
The Nurse Unit Manager is responsible for providing strong clinical leadership and operational oversight of the oncology service, ensuring delivery of safe, high-quality, patient-centred care in a specialised and dynamic environment. This role includes management of the nursing team, coordination of day-to-day unit operations, and active participation in clinical governance, quality improvement and service development.
Key accountabilities of this role include:
* Lead and support the nursing team to deliver high-quality patient care in line with contemporary best practice and clinical standards
* Ensure clinical governance and safety practices are maintained and improved through regular auditing, evaluation and education
* Manage staff performance, rostering, recruitment and professional development
* Provide operational leadership, including service planning, resource allocation and workflow optimisation
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and service delivery
* Participate in quality improvement initiatives, policy review, and the development of service improvement projects

To Apply
To be considered for this position, your resume must demonstrate the below requirements:
* Registered Nurse with current AHPRA registration
* Proven experience in a perioperative nursing leadership role, with a background in Oncology highly desirable
* Strong leadership and team management experience with the ability to coach and develop staff
* Demonstrate management skills with ability to take initiative in resolving issues and problems
* Stakeholder management skills, ensuring that multiple people with different agendas are working efficiently to the same end
* Demonstrated ability in managing clinical operations, quality improvement, and workforce development
* Experience in clinical governance, quality improvement and risk management

* Valid Working with Children Check (WWCC) for NSW (Please provide your WWCC number in your application)
* Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* MQ Health Immunisation screening
