Your new role
As the site safety officer, you will develop, implement, and monitor site-specific safety plans and procedures. Additionally, you will provide advice on safety work practices and legislative changes.
Additional key accountabilities
* Maintain records of safety audits, inspections, and incident reports.
* Conduct risk assessments and hazard identification for construction and maintenance sites.
* Deliver toolbox talks and safety inductions for staff and contractors.
* Liaise with contractors and project managers to ensure safety standards.
* Review and approve subcontractor safety plans.
What you'll need to succeed
* Diploma in Workplace Health & Safety General
* General Construction Induction White card
* Previous experience in similar role managing workplace health and safety on large commercial building projects for the principal contractor.
