About the Role
Van's Engineering is seeking a skilled and reliable Welder to join our workshop team. This is a residential role and is not offered on a FIFO or DIDO basis.
Key Responsibilities
* Perform welding using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes
* Fabrication and assembly of structural steel and mining equipment
* Carry out repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery and components
* Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications
* Ensure all work meets company quality and safety standards
* Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean working environment
Skills & Experience
* Trade qualification (Certificate III in Engineering – Fabrication or equivalent)
* Proven experience as a Welder, ideally in mining or heavy industry
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques and materials
* Ability to read technical drawings and plans
* Commitment to workplace safety and compliance
* Ability to work both independently and within a team
