Project Officer The role A large Queensland Government organisation is seeking an experienced Project Officer to support the delivery of priority initiatives within a complex operational environment.
This role focuses on coordinating project activities, supporting change management efforts, and ensuring initiatives are delivered in line with agreed objectives, timelines and governance requirements. You'll work closely with senior leaders and project teams to drive momentum, manage information flow and support informed decision-making.
The role is well suited to someone with strong project coordination capability who enjoys working across multiple workstreams and contributing to meaningful organisational change.
What you'll be doing
* Undertake specialist project activities to support delivery of agreed outcomes
* Coordinate project activities, schedules and milestones across multiple initiatives
* Support change management activities including training support, communications and feedback collection
* Assist with development and implementation of plans, procedures and process improvements
* Monitor progress against timeframes and flag risks or slippage early
* Prepare clear, accurate reporting and updates for senior stakeholders
* Maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and delivery partners
* Support meetings, workshops and information sessions related to project activity
* Contribute to continuous improvement and effective project administration
About you You're an organised and proactive Project Officer with experience supporting projects and change initiatives in structured environments. You're comfortable juggling priorities, communicating clearly and working collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders.
You'll bring:
* Demonstrated experience in project coordination or project support roles
* Strong organisational and time-management skills
* Experience supporting change, training or awareness activities
* Ability to prepare high-quality reports, briefs and documentation
* Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* Experience working in government or large, regulated environments (highly regarded)
