About The Role
We are seeking a diverse and talented people to take on the role of LV Mechanical Technician for our Pilbara Operations. Reporting through to the Supervisor for the auxiliary equipment, this role will provide auxiliary equipment and vehicle maintenance support with focus on availability, reliability and quality maintenance.
Your Duties Will Include
* Auxiliary equipment and vehicle maintenance in all areas of heavy commercial vehicles, including; mobile plant, generators, lighting plants, forklifts, EWPs and cranes
* Following specific maintenance programs and procedures
* Operation of mobile equipment within limits of competence, training and experience
* Carrying out checks on equipment as required
* Accurate completion of technical documentation, reports and drawings as required
* Use of computerised maintenance systems (SAP), including time confirmations, raising notifications and closing work orders
* Assist the Maintenance Supervisor with rescheduling of work, organising and coordinating resources, scoping of work and determining priorities when required
* Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and assist in the implementing of the new initiatives in a constructive way
* Executing tasks to a high standard and in a timely matter
About You
As the successful candidate you will ideally possess the following:
* Mechanical Trade Qualification
* Relevant experience in a large scale mining operation is preferential
* Strong vehicle mechanical and maintenance competency, with sound diagnostic abilities
* Australian manual C Class driver's licence
* Forklift licence, EWP, working at heights, CV (Hiab), CN (non slewing crane)
* Strong computer skills – using Microsoft Office suite, SAP, Excel
* Ability to work off schematic drawings
* Ability to work closely in a team environment
