Senior Clinical Care Professional
The role of a Senior Clinical Care Professional is multifaceted and requires exceptional clinical leadership skills. This individual will oversee the daily operations of a care home, supporting the General Manager in leading the clinical aspects and governance.
This includes managing 40-50 beds, overseeing AN-ACC assessments, care planning, risk assessments, infection control and case conferences. Key responsibilities include:
* Oversight of daily clinical operations, including staff allocations and delegation
* Support and lead the care home clinical team through coaching, mentoring, performance management and liaison with QEM
* Reviewing clinical incidents, complaints and changes to ensure optimal resident care
* Ensuring compliance with AN-ACC assessments and maintaining high standards of care
* Leading person-centred care planning and evaluation for residents, including case conferencing with families and carers
* Preparing and conducting clinical governance audits to maintain quality and safety
* Overseeing medication management to meet resident needs and legislative requirements
* Liaising with allied health, medical practitioners and other services to deliver holistic care
This role requires excellent clinical assessment skills, effective communication, leadership and relationship management abilities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, candidates must possess:
* Current registration as an Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) member
* Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification
* Postgraduate qualification in aged care, highly regarded
* Experience managing at least 30 beds
* A proven track record in delivering quality clinical care within an aged care or acute setting
