About The Role
This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple teams within the Strategic Planning Group, building broad planning experience while contributing to priority strategic outcomes for the community.
As a Strategic Planner, you will play a key role in assessing and processing planning proposals under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act, ensuring decisions align with Council's policies, procedures and strategic direction. You will prepare high‐quality reports, strategies and plans, and provide clear, professional advice on a diverse range of planning issues.
You will also be responsible for processing Section 10.7 Planning Certificates, supporting associated business processes, and responding to written and verbal planning enquiries — including providing informed pre‐planning and planning proposal advice to stakeholders.

Remuneration
$99,115.12 - $115,952.20 + 12% Superannuation
Required Skills, Experience and Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in the application of the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and Local Government Act in relation to the assessment and consideration of both Council-led and privately-led planning proposals and development control plan amendments and planning policy.
* High level communication skills, both verbal and written, including report writing skills.
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team environment.
* Commitment to quality customer service.
