Civil and/or Structural Engineer (3 to 5+ Years Experience)

Elevate Structural Engineering is seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, or Civil/Structural Engineer (approximately 3 to 5+ years' experience) to join our growing consultancy based on the Central Coast, NSW.
This is a full-time position with a flexible work-from-home structure, offering autonomy, varied project exposure, and ongoing support from senior engineers within a collaborative team environment.

About the Role
You will work across a diverse range of residential, multi-residential, and small commercial projects, delivering engineering design services across structural and/or civil scopes, depending on your background and strengths.
The role will involve end-to-end project involvement, including structural design, stormwater drainage, OSD system design, documentation, and direct communication with clients, builders, and certifiers.
This position is ideal for an engineer looking to take the next step in responsibility, manage projects independently, and contribute to a growing engineering practice.

Key Responsibilities
Depending on your discipline, responsibilities may include:
Structural Engineering
* Deliver structural design and documentation for residential and small commercial developments
* Prepare engineering drawings and details using AutoCAD
* Undertake design and analysis of steel, timber, and reinforced concrete structures
* Complete structural calculations using SpaceGass, ClearCalcs, and Inducta SLB
Civil Engineering
* Provide civil engineering design support including:
* Stormwater drainage design
* On-site detention (OSD) systems
* Civil siteworks coordination and servicing layouts
* Driveway and pavement design
* Sedimentation and Control plans
* Prepare engineering drawings and details using Civil 3D
* Design OSD and stormwater systems using Watercom Drains software
* Prepare stormwater reports, OSD compliance documentation, and council submission packages
General / Project Delivery
* Prepare engineering reports, certifications, and project documentation
* Liaise directly with builders, architects, surveyors, hydraulic consultants, and councils
* Manage project timelines, workflows, and deliverables across multiple jobs

Requirements
* Approximately 3 to 5+ years' experience in civil and/or structural engineering consulting
* Strong competency in AutoCAD or Civil 3D (engineers complete their own drawings)
* Ability to work independently and deliver compliant engineering outcomes
* Experience in stormwater drainage and OSD design (highly regarded)
* Familiarity with Watercom Drains software for OSD and stormwater design (preferred)
* Experience with SpaceGass, ClearCalcs, Inducta SLB (highly regarded for structural applicants)
* Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Word for calculations and reporting
* Strong communication skills and ability to manage stakeholders
* Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle
* Must be currently located on the Central Coast, NSW (this role is not open to fully remote interstate applicants)
* Comfortable working independently in a flexible work-from-home environment
