Job Title: Allied Health Assistant
As an Allied Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping maintain the functional independence of our clients. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that provides a person-centred, evidence-based, continuous quality improvement work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Enhance the wellness and lifestyle capacity of residents through exercise and activities focused on restorative and rehabilitative programs.
* Deliver exercise and therapy programs both 1:1 and in small groups in accordance to the Physiotherapist's care plan.
* Assist with client assessments and re-assessments of their physical capabilities as part of their exercise and therapy programs.
* Ensure residents have access to assistive devices as assessed by the physiotherapist.
* Assist with administrative tasks such as equipment ordering and liaising with families.
* Assist with facility cleanliness.
* Report relevant changes to the Physiotherapist regarding resident progress with exercises.
* Report changes in resident health or behaviour immediately to the Registered Nurse or Facility Manager.
Requirements:
* Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance.
* Computer & phone technology literacy (including Microsoft Office and Outlook).
* Current State full driver's license.
* Vaccinations up to date or willing and able to obtain, as required by legislation and/or company policy.
* VIC Only - NDIS Worker Screening, WWCC or ability to obtain.
* Right to Work in Australia.
* Current 'Provide First Aid' Certificate and CPR.
* Physical ability to perform stated duties.
