Electrical Engineer Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team in Wetherill Park, NSW. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a key role in driving automation, safety, and operational excellence across our manufacturing sites nationally.
About the Role
* Provide critical technical leadership, setting direction for electrical, automation, and controls activities across CSR's Gyprock and Interior Systems facilities.
* Lead plant floor functional safety upgrades (AS4024) and automation projects.
* Develop, implement, and benchmark electrical & control systems and standards.
* Manage end-to-end delivery of capital projects (from design to commissioning).
* Support production line automation and drive equipment reliability improvements.
* Oversee compliance with regulatory and CSR safety standards.
* Mentor site teams and electrical contractors, building technical capability.
* Use factory floor data to develop reporting tools (Power BI, SQL) in order to track and improve operational performance.
About You
* Degree qualified in Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering.
* Experience in continuous process manufacturing and production line automation.
* Demonstrated ability to design and implement industrial electrical systems.
* Strong knowledge of PLC/SCADA control systems (Allen Bradley Siemens and Ignition).
* Proven project management and technical leadership skills.
* Ability to deliver in high-pressure, fast-paced environments.
* Competent in the use of AutoCad or equivalent design software.
* Relational database (SQL) and reporting (Power BI) experience – desirable.
* Functional Safety (TÜV) qualifications – desirable.
