Responsibilities
* Supervise and assist the mechanical team with the service of equipment when in the yard facility and prepare each for re deployment.
* Oversee the day-to-day operations of the mechanical workshop in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner.
* Prioritise, plan, prepare for maintenance and repair of equipment including coordinating purchase of parts, plan and prioritise equipment maintenance and repairs, including parts procurement
* Mentor, guide and supervise mechanical team during day-to-day duties/requirements of their role, or supervise and mentor mechanical team in their daily duties
* Oversee and assist with the performance of maintenance on all equipment according to Equipment Maintenance System.
* Liaise with equipment owners (Operations) on maintenance scopes or work schedules, priority, costs, etc.
* Assembly of new equipment and components.
* Perform maintenance on diesel engines and miscellaneous field equipment when required.
* Responsible for the documentation and uploading of completed work scopes and test procedures.
* Coordinate and monitor equipment for testing after servicing and ensure testing regime is completed.
* Oversee and ensure the update of equipment maintenance records.
* Carry out various maintenance requests at the SESA facility.
* Assist field supervisors in troubleshooting equipment problems and deploy technicians, if necessary.
* Perform visual and mechanical inspections on the fleet of trucks, trailers, forklifts, overhead cranes, and any other equipment.
* Arrange for purchases of replacement parts and/or services when requests submitted by mechanical team.
* Inspect all assembly parts, winches, lifting devices, hydraulic hoses, and report any defective material or questionable component conditions.
* Provide assistance to Field Operations on projects, as required.
* Observe and follow all company safety procedures and policies.
* Perform routine housekeeping of workstations/workshop and mechanical storage area.
* Ensure compliance with Company/Client/Regulatory Reporting requirements.
