YOUR NEW ROLE
This role is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, development and operational management of event related activity at SOH. The role leads the account management, production management, stage management and Centre for Creativity teams to achieve the highest standards of hirer satisfaction, strong & collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders and high quality professional event management services. The role is responsible for maintaining a culture of safety and enabling the artistic vision and the strategic goals of the Sydney Opera House.

ARE YOU THE ONE?
We are looking for someone with:
·Extensive senior level experience in the strategic and operational management of event operations and delivery within a large/medium sized entertainment and/or performing arts organisation.
·Demonstrated high level expertise in building and leading high performing teams including training and mentoring, staff development programs, performance management and workforce planning.
·Significant experience in building and managing commercial relationships, including highly developed communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and people management skills.
·Ability to think laterally with excellent problem solving skills and able to devise new and creative systems.
·A proven track record in daily operational management across multiple events/productions and/or venues and multi-project management.
·Experience leading the planning and execution of major outdoor events and large teams through major events.
·Well-developed written capability and a demonstrable command of producing high level business documentation.
