About the Role
The Radiation Protection Officer works in a diverse and passionate team of regulatory and scientific specialists. Working with South Australia's medical and science radiation sectors, you will engage with health care providers and experience leading edge medical apparatus such as carbon nanotube X-ray and proton therapy. Your focus will be enabling the public to access health benefits, while ensuring that radiation risks are effectively managed. In this role, you will be required to assess, regulate and advise on new and innovative uses of radiation, and build and maintain relationships with the regulated community. You will bring your skills to the radiation team, and work with experts across the EPA, delivering wellbeing and environmental outcomes for South Australians and for our environment. You will be supported by scientific, technical and policy experts, and build your skills in radiation and nuclear safety, regulation, radiation science, community engagement and environmental sustainability.

Essential Qualifications
A degree in science, engineering, medical radiation, or other relevant field.
