Senior Civil Engineer/ Senior Project Engineer
Chris Smith & Associates is medium sized consultancy business, based in Shepparton and services a growing list of clients in regional Victoria and NSW, which include major infrastructure projects, municipal road and infrastructure works, renewable energy projects, land development, water industry and agriculture. We have exciting opportunities available for a highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer/ Senior Project Engineer to join our team as we continue to grow the business.
We are currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/ Senior Project Engineer with proven industry knowledge and leadership capabilities to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities for role:
* Manage infrastructure design projects for key clients including Councils, Water Authorities and private developers
* Prepare tender submissions for major infrastructure design projects.
* Review and signoff on detailed design documentation, technical reports, specifications etc.
* Prepare and maintain project programs
* Manage contracts and construction phases to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard.
* Establish and manage client and authority relationships.
* Promote our brand and actively seek new opportunities and areas for business growth.
* Lead the planning, design, and delivery of civil infrastructure projects including roads, drainage, water, sewerage and utilities infrastructure.
* Ensure compliance with our companies Integrated Management System including Quality, Environmental, & OH&S Systems.
Skills & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering in Australia, or similar
* Professional Engineering Registration in Victoria or eligibility to obtain it
* Minimum 7+ years of experience in civil infrastructure industry including design and contract management
* Project Management
* Strong skills in communication and a commitment to high-quality client servicing
* Knowledge of AustRoads and Department of Transport and Planning (DTP) standards
* Thorough knowledge of local Council Guidelines including The Infrastructure Design Manual
* Knowledge of Water Industry Standards
* Land development Experience
