A leading Australian content organisation is seeking a Social Media Lead/Head of Social (depending on experience) to define and drive social strategy across a portfolio of well‐known lifestyle, entertainment, home, luxury and consumer brands.

This is an opportunity to guide social direction at scale while partnering closely with senior editorial leaders.
Why This Role Matters
You will sit within the central Audience function, the team responsible for setting social strategy, identifying platform opportunities and establishing best practice for the wider organisation.
This role is pure strategy and stakeholder influence. You will not be executing content yourself.
Instead, you will work directly with Editors in Chief to combine platform expertise with editorial vision, shaping social approaches that drive audience growth and ROI.
What You Will Do
* Develop and lead social strategy across the organisation's highest impact brands
* Identify platform trends and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations
* Work closely with editors to enhance social storytelling and content direction
* Present confidently to senior leaders and influence decision making
* Build frameworks, insights and best practice models for cross brand adoption
* Prioritise activity based on audience growth and return on effort
Who You Are
* Experienced in multi brand or agency environments
* Able to influence and challenge senior stakeholders effectively
* Confident presenting to leadership and holding a room
* Deeply knowledgeable across major social platforms
* Strategic, analytical and able to simplify complexity
* Strong commercial understanding of how social drives revenue
