DIESEL MECHANICS / DIESEL FITTERS - BDS MECHANICAL - NT
We have full-time and casual positions available for Diesel Mechanics or Diesel Fitters to join our field service team in Darwin. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a trusted, well-established company offering stability and long-term career growth.
BDS Mechanical Repairs is a rapidly growing, innovative company providing mechanical, auto-electrical, and welding services both on-site and through our fully equipped workshops. With 22 branches across Queensland and a fleet of more than 160 field service units, we deliver reliable support across over 600,000 km² throughout Queensland and Western Australia. The successful candidates will possess the following:
* Relevant trade qualification
* Diagnostic experience
* Strong fault-finding skills
* Experience with trucks and trailers
* Heavy earthmoving experience (advantageous)
* Good communication skills
* Ability to work effectively as part of a team
* Truck licence (preferred)
* Additional skills, experience, tickets, and licences will be highly regarded
Your duties will include:
* Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
* General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4's
* Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
* Checking vehicle lighting systems
* Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
* Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
* Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
