Aged Care Lifestyle Coordinator Role
As a pivotal role in the wellbeing of our residents, the Aged Care Lifestyle Coordinator is responsible for ensuring they receive engaging and creative lifestyle programs catering to their individual, social, and cultural needs.
* The coordinator develops, implements, manages, and evaluates lifestyle programs for all residents in both group and individualized capacities.
* They lead and guide a team of Lifestyle Assistants, coordinating activities, internal and external to the care home.
* The coordinator provides input during resident care assessments to enable individualized development of programs for optimal resident lifestyle outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement lifestyle programs for residents.
2. Manage and evaluate program effectiveness.
3. Lead and guide the lifestyle team.
4. Coordinate activities and events.
5. Provide input on resident care assessments.
6. Maintain accurate records.
7. Support resident admissions and consultations.
8. Collaborate with clinical staff.
9. Develop strong stakeholder networks.
10. Manage risk and ensure continuous improvements.
Requirements:
* Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* Ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
* Fun and positive approach with a creative flare.
* Confident and collaborative team player.
* Innate empathy for residents.
* Outstanding client service skills.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong time management and organizational skills.
* Computer literacy.
* Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle/Health or Diversional Therapy.
