The School
Kalamunda Senior High School (SHS) has an enviable reputation developed over 65 years of providing a quality education to all students. The school is proud of its outstanding achievement in the Gifted and Talented Visual Arts specialist program over 45 years, which is complemented by excellence in academic achievement, languages (three), a specialist program in Outdoor Education, Soccer and Performing Arts and an outstanding music program.

The Role
Kalamunda SHS is seeking to employ an enthusiastic and passionate Design and Technologies teacher to join our Technologies team.
The school offers a wide range of courses across the Technologies Learning Area that include Home Economics, Design and Technology, Information Technology, and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics).
Applicants for this Design and Technology position would ideally be able to teach across both the wood and metal contexts, particularly at Senior School level. The school has students who are involved in extracurricular activities in Robotics (First Robotics Competition) and STEM (Horizon Hydrogen Grand Prix WA) and ability to teach across STEM is also highly desirable.
The successful applicant should be innovative and a highly motivated educator with the ability to provide quality teaching in the Design and Technologies curriculum area and work effectively as part of dedicated team. They should have a passion for their curriculum area and a deep understanding of instructional strategies to effectively engage students in the learning process. They will ideally be a reflective practitioner who actively engage in activities to improve their professional practice.
They will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be collaborative members of the whole school community, embracing the school's vision, values and strategic directions.
