You are an experienced and seasoned professional in higher-ed curriculum textbook sales success, ideally with 5-10 years of experience or more. You have worked recently or are currently in the publishing sales space for a large multi-national company like Pearson, Cengage, or McGraw Hill, and are seeking to move away from income caps, politics, and towards an independent publisher with unlimited income potential. Your focus will be on growing the Australian, New Zealand, and South Asian markets.

Role Overview
As a sales executive, you will engage directly with customers, supporting the transformation of learning. Your responsibilities include creating effective and innovative sales solutions that address challenges faced by higher education institutions, including C-Level executives, Deans, faculty, curriculum directors, instructors, and students, to meet educational learning outcomes and close new accounts.

Primary Responsibilities
You will demonstrate a commitment to a positive, collaborative, and team-based selling culture by working with colleagues to achieve shared goals. At the same time, you are a self-starter, ready to operate independently, and disciplined in outreach activities such as calls, emails, LinkedIn networking, and prospecting. Your target markets include higher-ed 2-year and 4-year institutions with multi-campus and continuous intake schools.
Skills in gaining the attention of faculty and decision-makers seeking to enhance their Digital Marketing Curriculum offerings are essential. Existing relationships within the sector are a plus.
Key Duties
- Work independently and remotely, with strong problem-solving skills.
- Employ effective consultative sales techniques, including pre-call planning and needs-based questioning, to secure new business.
- Present and sell our offerings via phone, virtual video, and in-person meetings.
- Maintain excellent organizational and follow-up skills; stay knowledgeable about our digital offerings, competitors, and industry factors to provide valuable insights.
- Utilize CRM systems effectively.
- Apply strong analytical skills and adapt quickly to solve problems on the spot.
Required Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
- Experience and enthusiasm for investigating, prospecting, and fulfilling customer needs.
- Strong outbound closing skills; this is not an order-taking role.
- Consistent ability to meet sales quotas.
- Proficiency with MS Office, Google applications, and CRM systems.
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, educational technologies, or curiosity about intellectual property development.
- Technological proficiency with internet, mobile tech, and business applications.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
- Robust organizational skills and familiarity with mobile and laptop devices.
- Some travel may be required.
Location and Compensation
This is a remote work-from-home position covering Australia, New Zealand, and South Asia.
Commission rates vary from 8% to 30%, depending on your base draw, with unlimited income potential.
