Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Civil Operations Employee to undertake various tasks including concreting and civil works. The role plays a vital part in improving the presentation, safety and functionality of community infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
* Concreting and civil works as part of routine maintenance and capital programs
* Undertake other general manual tasks using hand tools for minor construction and/or maintenance of assets as directed
* Report incidents, near misses, injuries, property damage and identified hazards
* Work in accordance with Council's policies, procedures, processes and specifications
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Demonstrated experience in concreting and ability to manage works under limited instruction
* Articulated Loader Ticket and Backhoe/Excavator Ticket (or willingness to obtain)
* Strong commitment to working in a team environment
* Drivers Licence – Class MR (or willingness to obtain)
* Experience in the operation and maintenance of plant and equipment
* Strong communication skills and ability to work safely as part of a team
