Job Description:
We are seeking a speech pathologist to provide face-to-face therapy sessions for children affected by homelessness and domestic violence in Lithgow.
The successful candidate will receive referrals from our service provider and commence delivery of services in October 2025, concluding June 2026.*
A competitive remuneration package will be offered, including meal allowance, backfilling, fuel and travel allowance if required.
Our program aims to support children's language development, which is a critical component of early childhood growth.
Family violence can have a direct impact on a child's developing language, leading to brain abnormalities in areas such as memory and language.
Speech therapy helps children understand language, build vocabulary, use sentence structure and grammatical concepts, improve social skills, practice pronouncing different types of sounds, play skills, literacy and fluency of speech.
This role will prioritize access to clients residing in or being supported by services in Lithgow.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Relevant qualifications in speech pathology, including current Speech Pathology Australia registration.
* Current professional indemnity insurance.
* NSW driver's licence.
* Recent Police Check and Working with Children Check.
