Essence Group is seeking an experienced Quality Coordinator to join the Quality Team in a permanent full-time position based on site at the South Nowra facility. This is a Monday to Friday role with standard working hours, with shifts between 6am – 4pm with some occasional flexibility required.

Your new role
In conjunction with the QA Manager the Quality Coordinator duties will include:
Assist in preparation of GMP documents, development of company SOPs, batch records and specifications and other controlled procedures and documents.
Coordinating testing, verification and release of raw materials, packaging materials and final product.
Assist with deviations, Out of Specification investigations and risk assessments.
Assist with the supplier approval process.
Participate in regulatory and customer audits.
Participate in product recall process.
Assist in managing changes to products, processes, or parameters to ensure compliance with TGA requirements.
Conduct internal audits and raise CAPA's, change controls and deviations.
Support the validation program and activities.
Ensure Product Quality Review is complete and adherent to the schedule.
Assist in customer complaint investigations, in root cause identifications, and ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented and closed out promptly.
Communicate the relevant requirements of the PQS and QMS to appropriate staff and provide training, as required.
To act as an Authorised Person for TGA Release for supply.
Ad hoc QA/QC duties within the Quality Team as requested.
Essential Criteria
Bachelor of Science or equivalent experience, preferably in microbiology, biochemistry, chemistry or food technology. Chemistry experience will be highly regarded.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
High attention to detail.
Ability to effectively self-manage work priorities to meet schedule requirements.
Intermediate proficiency using and maintaining Excel spreadsheets.
Evidence of unlimited rights to work in Australia.
Knowledge of Good Manufacturing Processes (GMP).
Experience working in a TGA licenced (or equivalent) facility
Desirable Criteria
Intermediate proficiency using SAP.
Experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS).
HACCP training/knowledge.
