The role
Seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer for a site‐based role supporting large‐scale earthworks and haul road construction on a major Tier1 mining WA project.
The Role
Reporting into a senior geosciences lead, you will deliver hands‐on geotechnical support across construction activities, ensuring ground conditions, materials, and execution align with design and project standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide geotechnical support across earthworks and haul road construction
- Conduct site inspections and verify ground conditions against design
- Monitor borrow pits, mass haul and material performance
- Review compaction, density and laboratory testing results
- Support QA/QC processes and maintain site documentation
- Identify and elevate ground risks and non‐conformances
- Provide practical technical advice to site teams and contractors
About You
- Proven geotechnical construction or site supervision experience (essential)
- Strong understanding of earthworks, materials and haul road construction
- Ability to interpret geotechnical designs, specs and testing data
- Experience on large‐scale mining or infrastructure projects
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Comfortable working in a FIFO, site‐based environment
