Job Title: Medical Practitioner
We are seeking an experienced Medical Practitioner to join our team of healthcare professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have strong foundations as a General Practitioner with a passion for providing clinical services and working collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of high-standard patient care. You will work closely with colleagues to achieve and maintain the health and wellbeing of Defence members, including assessing Defence personnel for fitness for duty and providing medical technical advice to senior officials.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver primary medical care to patients in accordance with professional standards and legislation
* Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve and maintain the health and wellbeing of Defence members
* Assess Defence personnel for fitness for duty and provide medical technical advice to senior officials
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
* Current unconditional and unrestricted registration as a Medical Practitioner in Australia with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
* Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellowship of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or Vocational Registration
* Minimum of 2 years full-time post-graduate general practitioner experience in a general practice setting within the last 5 years (or part-time equivalent)
* Recent participation in Continuous Professional Development (CPD) activities in accordance with AHPRA
