About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Welder (First Class) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality welding and fabrication work in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and safety standards. You will work on a range of metal structures, components, and piping systems, ensuring precision and durability in every weld.
Key Responsibilities
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding specifications.
* Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment including .
* Perform high-quality welding
* Inspect completed welds for accuracy, defects, and compliance with quality standards.
* Carry out fabrication, fitting, and assembly of components as required.
* Maintain welding equipment and tools to ensure they are in safe working condition.
* Follow workplace health and safety procedures at all times.
* Work collaboratively with the fabrication and engineering teams to meet production deadlines.
* Assist with on-site installations or repairs as needed.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven experience as a First Class Welder within a manufacturing, environment.
* Strong knowledge of welding techniques
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols.
* Strong attention to detail and quality control.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
* Commitment to workplace health and safety.
* Current driver's license
Desirable
* Experience with pipe and fitting welding
* Knowledge of welding standards such as ISO21307
