Solutions Architect - Oceania (Job Req #2025-331) at Ross Video. The Solutions Architect – Oceania will support both the Oceania Sales and Services team in its initiative to increase sales of Ross Video technology in dynamic and innovative applications. This role requires a blend of engineering/solutions skills with the soft skills needed in a sales process. Based in Sydney, Australia, focusing on Australia, New Zealand, and Pacific Islands regions. Reports to: Manager, Technical Solutions – APAC.

What the job is all about
The Solutions Architect – Oceania will support the Oceania Sales and Services teams to increase sales of Ross Video technology in dynamic applications. This role entails collaboration with the Sales team, customer interaction, and coordinating with Services implementation, including Service Operations Specialists, Commissioners, Trainers and Technical Support Specialists, and the Creative Services team to ensure successful deployments at client facilities.
Responsibilities include pre-and post-sales activities to ensure superior customer experience and that proposed deals include technical solutions addressing customers' business priorities and needs.
Responsibilities
* Participate and contribute to sales opportunities driven by Regional Sales Managers, prioritizing efforts to maximize impact on productivity.
* Scope technical solutions to address customer requirements, assess met and unmet needs, and recommend solutions that optimize value for both customer and Ross Video.
* Coordinate with Ross' internal Sales team and business partners to align solutions with customer requirements.
* Proactively engage in opportunity reviews, ensuring proper configuration and alignment in the sales process.
* Educate and provide professional development to the team and partners to enhance product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
* Engage in customer-facing product presentations, demos, training and workflow guidance at customer premises or at tradeshows.
* Develop business development opportunities and collaborate with Sales to cover and advance them.
* Develop project plans, assist with scheduling resource allocation, and coordinate Ross technical services, third-party resources, and client teams.
* Work on system-focused and highly technical projects; manage tender responses and proposals for mid/large/solution-based RFPs/RFIs/RFQs.
* Prepare world-class customer-facing proposal supplements; create drawings for opportunities and reusable variations for Ross groups.
* Assist in laying out and designing configurations for robotics opportunities where relevant.
* Provide market intelligence and client feedback to Product Managers on product and application requirements.
* Set up, configure and perform product demos for customers and partners on Ross products and workflows.
* Coordinate with Demo and Tradeshow team and Services team to plan and execute system demonstrations and events.
* Collaborate with Marketing and Regional Sales Managers in planning regional events.
* Maintain technical documentation for solutions and customer proposals.
Who you are
* Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Broadcast Technology, or related field.
* Track record of achievement and technical solution expertise in a customer-facing environment.
* Knowledge/experience in studio/broadcast/live event video production, broadcast video system design/engineering, or equivalent.
* Strong knowledge of industry-standard protocols, connectors and terminations.
* Strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Proficient in both desktop and server networking practices.
* Ability to work cooperatively across all company departments and across time zones.
* Strong and creative problem-solving abilities.
* Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM programs.
Bonus points if you have the following
* Additional education and computer courses are assets.
* Familiarity with Ross Video products and solutions is a plus.
* Knowledge of IT, IP-based workflows, REMI, virtualized environments and broadcast systems is a plus.
* Prior knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM systems is an asset.
* Solutions-oriented, organized, self-motivated and collaborative teamwork style.
Other requirements
* Must possess a valid driver's license and passport.
* Must be able to travel up to 50% (short-notice and international trips).
* Must reside within proximity to a major airport to support travel requirements.
