As Chief Executive Officer, you will work closely with Council to implement its strategic vision, ensuring effective governance, financial sustainability, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:
Provide strategic leadership, fostering a high-performing, values-based organisational culture.
Partner with Council to deliver its vision, strategic priorities, and long-term community plan.
Strengthen governance, transparency, and financial stewardship across all functions.
Oversee the delivery of quality community services, infrastructure, and environmental initiatives.
Build strong, trusting relationships with community, regional stakeholders, government agencies, and local businesses.
Advocate for the Borough's unique needs and opportunities at state and federal levels.
Lead with authenticity, accountability, and a commitment to sustainability, heritage protection, and community wellbeing.
About You:
You are an experienced senior leader with a track record of success in public sector management, local government, or a similarly complex stakeholder environment. You bring exceptional communication and relationship-building skills, demonstrate sound judgement, and have a deep understanding of community engagement, governance, financial management, and strategic planning. You inspire others, lead with integrity, and are passionate about contributing to a sustainable, liveable, and cohesive future.
