About This Role
As an Industrial Painter and Coater, you will play a key part in maintaining the visual appearance of equipment and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Removing old paint, rust, and other surface contaminants from metal surfaces through abrasive blasting
* Applying protective coatings, such as epoxy and polyurethane paints, to ensure a durable finish
* Preparing surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
* Maintaining and operating blasting equipment and painting systems safely and efficiently
* Ensuring high-quality work that meets relevant standards
* Collaborating with the team to identify and implement process improvements
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Experience as an Industrial Painter and Coater, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing environment
* Proficiency in surface preparation techniques and coating applications
* Familiarity with a range of protective coatings and their uses
* Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work
* Good problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
* Relevant trade qualifications or certifications would be highly regarded
