About the role
The position manages rates, water and debt
recovery services including reconciling the rates subsidiary ledger, monitoring
the level of debt and collection of overdue rates and charges, and to ensure
the accurate maintenance of supplementary valuations, credit balances and
rating databases.
The full time position is based at the Narrandera Shire Council offices, 141 East Street Narrandera.
Duties
Key Responsibility Areas include:
Operational matters (rates, property and water billing)
Levy and collection of rates and charges
Verification and issue of property certificates
Pensioner rebates and write backs
Maintenance and administration of water/sewer
usage accounts
Service code maintenance, journal transactions
and rating allowances
Outstanding rates and charges and debt recovery
Land value maintenance and revenue forecasting
