The Opportunity
As the Accounts Payable Officer you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of all financial transactions for payable accounts. As part of our collaborative Finance Team, this full-time onsite role is an excellent opportunity to ensure key stakeholder relationships are maintained. Responsibilities include:
* Coordinating and maintaining the timely and accurate preparation and processing of payments, statements and reconciliations
* Ensuring all journals and general ledger entries are recorded in a timely fashion each week
* Obtaining authorisation for payment from appropriate personnel, allocating expenditure to the correct budget account and arranging for the drawing of cheques and other forms of payment
* Assisting with the monthly accruals and prepayment schedules, and preparation for audits.
* Performing Accounts Receivable function on a leave cover basis & assisting with administration functions ad hoc
* Ensuring adherence to Accounting standards and policies
About you
Essential:
* At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role or equivalent
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Good understanding of finance systems & sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
* Well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
* Proven customer service approach to stakeholder management
* Ability to work independently and as a team
* Effective time management and organisational skills to prioritise workloads, multitask and meet deadlines
* Willingness to obtain NDIS Worker Check
Desirable:
* Experience in the Aged Care/Not for Profit industry
* Experience with the Epicor system
