Role Overview

We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support our project team in Victoria. This role plays a critical function in commercial management and contract compliance across multiple construction projects. You will liaise with project managers, clients, and subcontractors to ensure commercial obligations are met and financial performance is optimised.


Key Responsibilities

Budget & Forecast Oversight

Review and manage project budgets in collaboration with project managers

Support project cost forecasting to ensure financial control

Enter and manage cost control data in relevant systems

Contract & Scope Management

Draft, review, and negotiate subcontractor agreements

Develop and review scopes of work for RFQs and active contracts

Conduct scope and contract reviews for accuracy and risk mitigation

Commercial Administration

Manage and evaluate project variations (including estimating and letting)

Prepare and submit progress claims

Collate and analyse tender returnables

Reporting & Compliance

Coordinate and compile Social Procurement and other client-mandated reporting

Ensure all commercial documentation complies with legal, client, and company requirements


Requirements & Qualifications

Minimum 3+ years’ experience in a Contract Administration role within the construction industry

Experience in structural steel projects highly regarded

Solid understanding of construction contracts and cost control systems

High proficiency in project financial reporting and budget analysis

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and subcontractors

High attention to detail and strong time management
