FORM is well-known for delivering significant cultural tourism projects and creative experiences in collaboration with key strategic partners including the Ngurra Kuju Walyja One Country One People The Canning Stock Route Project; Tracks We Share : Contemporary Art of the Pilbara; and Thomas Dambos Giants of Mandurah.
We also manage FORM Gallery in Perth and Spinifex Hill Studio and Project Space in South Hedland.
The Opportunity
The Senior Public Art Specialist will deliver cultural experiences that support artists communities and project partners across Western Australia by managing major public art and cultural projects including permanent public art community arts destination development and event management.
Responsibilities
Developing and executing major multi-year project and program strategies.
Creating and overseeing detailed plans for projects and programs covering risk management budgets communication logistics team coordination and community engagement.
Developing strategic partnerships that enhance cultural artistic and financial value.
Fostering strong working relationships between clients artists and community members.
What Youll Need to Get You Started
Tertiary qualification in arts management tourism urban planning or a related discipline.
At least two years of experience in managing major cultural tourism projects and / or in the hospitality industry.
Current or ability to obtain a Working With Children Check
Current (within one (1) month) or ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
Current and unrestricted C Class Drivers Licence
Ability to travel within Western Australia and / or interstate when required
Your Capabilities
Cultural and Community Knowledge : Deep understanding of cultural tourism contemporary art management and cultural sensitivity with a focus on Indigenous cultures heritage sites and community engagement.
Project and Financial Management : Expertise in managing large-scale cultural tourism projects including planning logistics budgeting risk management and securing funding.
Strategic and Creative Thinking : Ability to develop innovative solutions and strategic plans that enhance cultural tourism experiences and align with organisational and regional goals.
Stakeholder Engagement and Communication : Strong skills in building relationships with diverse stakeholders effective communication and leadership to ensure project success and community benefit.
Desirable Qualifications
Project management qualification or certification
Risk management qualification or certification
International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Certificate in Engagement
ICIP Protocol training
