Product Manager (Legal Experience) - Cleardocs

We're seeking a highly skilled product professional to join our team as a Product Manager, responsible for driving the development, launch, and management of new and enhanced products and services. This role will involve leading cross‐functional teams, conducting market and competitive analysis, and developing business cases to gain approval and support for new propositions. The successful candidate will be able to define and communicate key product features and benefits, manage product lifecycles, and ensure compliance with legal requirements. They will also be responsible for managing third‐party relationships and collaborating with commercial‐facing teams to support client engagement and retention. About the Role

In this opportunity as a Product Manager, you will:

1. Product Strategy & Vision
* Define and execute product roadmap aligned with business objectives and customer needs.
* Identify market opportunities and competitive positioning within the legal tech and document automation space (new product/document releases) supported by business case, analytics and projected returns.
* Drive product innovation to maintain Cleardocs' position as a comprehensive document suite provider.
* Partner with Thomson Reuters stakeholders to leverage synergies and integrated solutions.
2. Product Development & Delivery
* Lead cross‐functional teams including engineering, design, legal, and compliance to deliver high‐quality product features and innovative solutions for accountants, financial planners and legal professionals.
* Manage the full product lifecycle from ideation through launch and iteration.
* Prioritize feature development based on customer value, business impact, and technical feasibility.
* Drive platform improvements across company formation, SMSF, trust and estate planning documents while optimizing user experience and business outcomes.
3. Customer & Market Focus
* Conduct user research with accountants, financial planners, lawyers and business owners to understand pain points and needs.
* Analyse product metrics, user behaviour and feedback to drive continuous improvements.
* Monitor the market offerings and industry trends in legal document automation.
4. Product Compliance
* Ensure products meet legal compliance requirements and maintain currency with legislative changes.
* Collaborate with partner law firms to ensure legal accuracy and document quality.
* Work with law firms and Digital Marketing on content audit (point‐in‐time and ongoing) to ensure consistency on terms & conditions across all customer communication channels.
5. Other Responsibilities
* Work with the Accounts Payable / Receivable team alongside third‐party providers, industry professional bodies, referrers to ensure payments and receivables meet agreed business timelines.
* Work with the Cleardocs business lead and business management team to ensure the business exceeds NPS, Sales and marketing KPI's.
About You

You're a fit for the role of Product Manager if you have the following required qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in business, Law or related field.
* More than 3 years in legal practice and legally qualified with strong knowledge of Australian legal industries, agile product management experience, preferably in SaaS, legal tech, fintech or document automation.
* Strong understanding of agile development methodologies and product management frameworks.
* Experience working with complex regulatory environments and compliance requirements.
* Highly entrepreneurial with excellent problem‐solving to achieve win‐win outcomes.
* An outside‐in focus: Outstanding end‐customer relationship development and management skills.
* Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship‐building skills across multiple levels and functions.
