Perioperative Nurse Role
You will be a valued member of our supportive and approachable multidisciplinary team, providing patient care in the Operating Suite. As an experienced nurse with a broad range of Theatre experience, you will develop and maintain appropriate clinical skills in Perioperative/Recovery Room nursing.
The ideal candidate will have highly effective interpersonal skills, well developed written and verbal communication, with pro-active problem solving ability to monitor and evaluate quality patient care.
Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain appropriate clinical skills in Perioperative/Recovery Room nursing
* Take responsibility for the allocated workload
* Ensures a high standard of documentation
* Liaise with other departments, doctors, patients and visitors as appropriate
* Report difficult problems to the Clinical Nurse or Nurse Manager as appropriate
* Actively and constructively participates in departmental meetings
* Demonstrate ability to manage straightforward health problems in the Operating Suite
* Serve as a patient advocate, protecting the rights and safety of patients at all times
* Participate actively in the EQuiP programs of the Operating Suite and the Hospital, assisting in the formulation of policies and procedures as appropriate
Requirements:
• Registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse
• Knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity and Occupational Safety and Health legislation
