**Role: Metrics & Reporting Analyst
Location: Melbourne
Daily rate: $680p.d. incl super**
The Metrics and Reporting Analyst, reporting to the Portfolio Support Manager, is responsible for delivering support across the IT project space.
This includes executing financial management, resource tracking, delivery planning, and reporting for GMs and their teams. The role is central to coordinating financial deliverables such as forecasting, cost recovery, accruals, and month-end close, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Strong financial acumen and the ability to communicate insights to varied audiences are essential. Familiarity with PMO environments and CapEx project support is highly valued. The role also contributes to project delivery, stakeholder engagement, and process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
* Execute financial operations with precision, including forecasting, accruals, cost recovery, and month-end close, escalating risks as needed.
* Lead the preparation and refinement of financial data outputs, providing actionable insights for senior stakeholders.
* Coordinate resource and effort tracking, ensuring data accuracy and timely reporting.
* Work closely with GMs and EMs, delivering analytical support and responding to ad hoc requests.
* Contribute to process improvements and automation initiatives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
* Apply knowledge of PMO frameworks to ensure alignment with portfolio governance standards.
* Liaise with cross-functional teams (Finance, Procurement, Engineering) to facilitate smooth operations.
Key Accountabilities:
* Engage and support senior leadership, acting as the primary contact for GM queries and escalations.
* Support the Portfolio Support Manager in guiding analysts and building team capability.
* Database maintenance and quality assurance.
* Coordinate the delivery of financial, analytical, and modelling outputs to senior leaders.
* Support the consistent application of standardised processes and service levels, including automation and efficiency improvements.
Required skills & experience:
* Mandatory:
Experience delivering financial support in teams (including offshore/hybrid), supporting complex projects/programmes, strong financial acumen, expertise in resource tracking and reporting, senior stakeholder engagement, and change delivery.
* Preferred:
Experience across all project lifecycle phases.
* 5+ years relevant experience, exposure to PMO environments, bachelor's degree in finance or related discipline, advanced Excel and financial modelling skills.
* Experience in working with timesheeting systems and database maintenance.
